Veal Polenta Apricots

oh yummy veal. this was the first time i was able to choose how to cut the veal at the butcher so i got some relatively thick steaks (veal is often thin and tendorized into a flat piece for frying). the dish is as you see it - polenta with apricots, green beans and a veal steak fried with a little olive oil. this was the night i realized you can easily get bread crumbs from stale bread with a cheese grater. much easier that the old-fashioned way of using a rolling pin or, for that matter, a food processor. this dish was out of sight.
