Noix St. Jacques

this is one of the rare instances when the english name of a food item is better than the romantic language name. in this case “scallops” versus “st. jacques’ nuts” – i’ll let you decide which name you prefer. these scallops had the “feet” still attached and i sauteed them lightly with some balsamic reduction. they were good but i’ve had fresher in the states.
