Milan Train Station

I shot this in the main train station in Milan, Italy one afternoon. Just as I was putting my gear away and getting ready to leave the station police came over to ask me what I was doing. Turns out shooting with a tripod in a public transport station/building is not a good idea. I showed them what I was doing by forwarding through the photos using the screen on my camera and they figured it was okay and gave me a stern lecture about how I wouldn’t be allowed to do this in the US in an airport (at which point it sunk in). When they said “Altemose is an italian name?” I said yes (it’s German although my mother’s family is Italian) and they let me go after writing down my name and passport information. It was worth it - I think the footage is cool. My heart was beating pretty fast for a few minutes though…
